BIOGRAPHY
I teach World History I and II and You and the Law at Limestone Community High School. I have a passion for teaching, and love to pass on my knowledge to students. I lived in Italy for 3 years where I played professional baseball and traveled extensively throughout Europe and abroad. (I have included many pictures of my travels!) I was lucky enough to have a great article written about me in the Bradley Hilltopic in 2006, http://lydia.bradley.edu/hilltopics/06fall/sports/. This experience has propelled me to become the teacher I am today. Italy has transformed me, and enabled me to reach more of my students with a renewed passion and love of history.
I got married to my wife Sara in Certaldo, Tuscany, Italy in August of 2007, and I have an 8 year old son, Roman, a 5 year old son, Cyrus and a 3 year old daughter Scarlett.

I enjoy golfing, playing baseball and basketball, and hanging out with my family. I still play baseball in the oldest semi-pro league in America, the Peoria Sunday Morning League, www.psml.net, and enjoy almost any kind of physical activity.
My wife is the Nurse Manager of the Emergence Department at Methodist Hospital.

in March of 2016 a Documentary about the Peoria Sunday Morning Baseball League will debut at the Peoria Museum. It covers the 100 year history of the league, and features some past MLB players as well as current players like myself. Check out the trailer below:
